Gun Violence Touches Every Part of Minnesota

“Gun violence affects everybody across the board.”

In 2019, 470 people died because of gun violence in Minnesota. Those who died range from a a 4-year-old boy who was shot unintentionally to a dozen Minnesotans in their 80s, all of whom died by suicide. Minnesotans of all ages, and from all parts of the state, are directly and indirectly affected by gun violence.7
