Setting the Table: A Conversation on Setting the Legislative Agenda for Gun Violence Prevention

This event will be held over Zoom.

You’re invited to join the conversation on setting the legislative agenda for gun violence prevention when the 2024 legislative session begins in January. We will discuss and suggest laws that foster fair and responsible gun purchase and ownership for the protection of all Minnesotans. We will also devote time to framing our message. Hosted by the synod’s ENGAGE: Lutherans for Gun Violence Prevention work group, special guests include Senator John Marty, Senator Bonnie Westlin and Rep. Kelly Moller.

Also participating will be influencers and personal sponsors from leading GVP organizations in Minnesota: Marit Brock (Moms Demand Action), Bob Mokos (Giffords), Maggiy Emery (Protect Minnesota), Joan Peterson (Brady), Rev. Rolf Olson (Inter-Faith Alliance of Protect Minnesota), LaTanya Black (Mothers Against Community Gun Violence) and Rev. Dr. Ron Letnes (ENGAGE).
